RSS Directories and Indexes

I've sorted these by their perceived importance. The first list is the ones that most people seem to think are the prominent and important directories. Smaller directories are on the second list.

I'd suggest you submit to as many of these as you can, since more submissions means more links to your feed. Ultimately, you'll get more subscribers to your feed.

Don't forget to sign up for a free "My Yahoo" account and add your own RSS feed to your list of content. As of this writing, this still works to get your feed listed in their directory, and it gets your RSS feed and anything it is linked to spidered in no time!

Once you're listed in some of the directories below, you can use Ping-O-Matic to ping all of the directories at once about updates to your feed. Alot of them monitor weblogs.com, anyway, but a few moments spent at Ping-O-Matic will ensure that the word gets out about your feed.

Some of the directories below ask for a reciprocal link, most do not. In most cases, it takes only a minute or two to submit your RSS feed for review and/or inclusion. Some will take you a few minutes, if you have to create a free account to list your feed.
